MoMs Across Philippines–Negros Chapter Convenes in Handumanan; Negros Power Leads Consumer Education Session
A Gathering of Mothers, Voices, and Community Advocates
The Barangay Handumanan Gym came alive on February 21, 2026, as mothers, community leaders, and volunteers assembled for the General Assembly of MoMs Across Philippines–Negros Chapter, Inc. More than a routine meeting, the activity became a meaningful space for sharing updates, strengthening advocacy, and listening to the everyday concerns of families in the community.
For many of the participants, the assembly served as an opportunity to reconnect with fellow mothers who share the same goal: building safer, more informed, and more empowered communities.

Negros Power Brings Consumer Education Closer to the Community
One of the highlights of the gathering was the Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) session conducted by Negros Power, led by Community Relations Officer Rollen Balquin. The session focused on the company’s programs, customer services, and ongoing efforts to improve the power experience of consumers.
Balquin explained that IEC activities are designed not only to inform but also to create an open line of communication between the power provider and the people it serves.
“When we go to communities like this, we are not just here to talk. We are also here to listen. Your feedback helps us improve and serve you better,” he shared.

Real Questions, Real Conversations
After the presentation, participants took part in an open forum where they openly raised questions about billing, service reliability, and available customer assistance. The discussion allowed residents to voice personal experiences and seek clarity on issues that affect their daily lives.
For Wella De Guzman, the session offered reassurance.
“It helped us understand Negros Power’s programs better. We were able to ask questions and get direct answers, which is very important for us as consumers,” she said.
Felisa Goram echoed the same sentiment, emphasizing the importance of being informed.
“When we know what is happening and what services are available, we feel more confident. It makes us feel heard,” she shared.

Strengthening Partnerships for Community Growth
The General Assembly concluded with renewed commitment from both MoMs Across Philippines–Negros Chapter and Negros Power to continue working together in advancing consumer education, transparency, and community development.
For the mothers who attended, the day was more than an organizational activity—it was a reminder that when communities come together, voices grow stronger, and positive change becomes possible.
