September 2026 Bills | What Negros Power Consumer Need to Know

Consumer Advisory: What Negros Power Customers Need to Know About September 2026 Bills

Negros Power has begun delivering September 2026 electricity bills, with the first deliveries starting on September 22, 2026. The change in the billing schedule is related to the implementation of the Secondary Price Cap (SPC) for the Visayas Region, pursuant to ERC Order No. 2026-048 MC.

Negros Power is advising consumers to take note of the following:

Meter Reading Schedule Remains Unchanged [ September 2026 Bills ]

The meter-reading schedule will continue as originally scheduled. However, customers may experience a delay in receiving their Spot and Statement of Account (SOA) for the September 2026 billing period because of adjustments related to the implementation of the SPC.

Due Dates Will Be Automatically Extended

Customers do not need to worry if their bills arrive later than usual. The due date will automatically be extended based on the date the bill is actually delivered.

This adjustment is intended to give consumers sufficient time to settle their bills despite the delayed distribution.

What the 54% Reduction Means [ September 2026 Bills ]

Under ERC Order No. 2026-048 MC, the Secondary Price Cap is projected to result in an average 54% reduction in electricity prices in the Visayas compared with what would have applied without the mechanism.

However, 54% is an average figure for the entire Visayas region. The actual reduction may vary depending on the individual distribution utility and consumer.

For Negros Power customers, the exact reduction cannot yet be determined based solely on the regional average. The final percentage will only be known after the release of the Final Settlement Bill by the Independent Electricity Market Operator of the Philippines (IEMOP) for the September 20 settlement.

Consumers Are Advised to Wait for Their Final Bill [ September 2026 Bills ]

With the changes brought about by the SPC implementation, consumers are encouraged to check their September Statement of Account once delivered and review the charges reflected in the bill.

The key points are simple: meter reading continues according to schedule, bill delivery may be delayed, the due date will be automatically adjusted, and the actual reduction in charges will depend on the final settlement.

For consumers, the most important thing is to wait for the actual September bill before determining how much the SPC has reduced their electricity charges.

Negros Power is asking customers for their continued understanding and patience as the new billing adjustments are implemented.
