Casa Blanca SM Branch Bacolod: A Dinner After the Panaad Event

After attending the grand launching of the Panaad sa Negros Festival and the sashing ceremony of the Lin-ay sang Negros 2026 candidates at the Capitol Lagoon, the evening still felt too lively to end. Events like this rarely give friends the chance to gather in one place, so before everyone headed home, I endearingly asked a friend if he could treat us to dinner.

Thankfully he agreed, and just like that, we found ourselves heading to SM City Bacolod North Block to try the Casa Blanca SM Branch.

For most of us, the resto was already familiar. We have visited their original restaurant in Bata, Bacolod City several times over the years. The food has always been good, and the place has a distinct character that makes dining there memorable. Still, visiting the Casa Blanca SM Branch Bacolod gave us another reason to reconnect over a relaxed dinner.

Dining at Casa Blanca SM Branch in Bacolod

The restaurant carries the same identity that diners have come to love from the brand. The restaurant is not only known for its food but also for its antique reproduction furniture and home décor pieces.

In fact, many of the tables, chairs, and decorative pieces inside the restaurant are part of the items they sell. Guests dine while surrounded by furniture that reflects various designs and styles. Because of this concept, the Casa Blanca SM Branch Bacolod feels more like a beautifully styled interior space rather than a typical restaurant.

The place is colorful, vibrant, and full of personality. I would describe the design style as eclectic, with pieces that combine classic inspirations with contemporary elements. Every table and chair looks different, which makes the dining space visually interesting from every corner.

It is this combination of food and furniture design that makes the Casa Blanca SM Branch stand out among dining spots in Bacolod.

A Gathering of Friends at Casa Blanca SM Branch

That evening, our group included several friends and colleagues who share many professional and personal connections.

Joining us were CH Hisona, who is currently based in Himamaylan as an executive in the LGU; Mark, who had just arrived from a vacation in Baguio City; Femmy Lee, Marketing Manager of Merzci; Kay Somes, Branding Officer of Merzci; and Engiemar Tupas of the Department of Trade and Industry, who is also my colleague at the University of St. La Salle.

And of course, yours truly.

While enjoying our dinner at the, the conversation naturally shifted back to the event we had attended earlier that evening. The Lin-ay sang Negros 2026 candidates were a major topic at the table, and in fairness, many of them stood out this year.

Everyone seemed to have their early favorites, and the discussion quickly turned lively. Observations, opinions, and laughter filled the table. With this group of friends, conversations always flow easily, and there is rarely a dull moment when we gather.

Furniture That Becomes Part of the Dining Experience

One of the interesting moments during our visit to the Casa Blanca SM Branch happened toward the end of our dinner.

Since the resto is known for its furniture pieces, someone in our group became curious about the table we were dining on. Naturally, we asked about the price and whether it was also for sale.

Soon after, the owner’s son came over to talk with us about the table and some of their other furniture pieces. Interestingly, he is also a graduate of the Culinary School at the University of St. La Salle, which made the conversation even more engaging for us.

It was a nice reminder that the resto is not just a place to eat. It is also a space that celebrates design, craftsmanship, and creativity.

A Memorable Evening at Casa Blanca SM Branch

Our dinner turned out to be one of those simple yet meaningful gatherings. There was good food on the table, plenty of laughter, and stories shared among friends who rarely get to meet these days.

More importantly, we were grateful for the friend among us who generously treated everyone to dinner that night.

Sometimes the best evenings are the ones that are unplanned—after an event, with friends, and over a good meal. That night at the Casa Blanca SM Branch Bacolod was exactly that kind of moment.
